Hi, I'm Jennefer Wilson. I fell in love with film photography because of its creamy skin tones, natural contrast, and rich, true-to-life color. There was something honest about it—something that felt right.

For 18 years, I've been photographing people. For the last decade, I've been helping photographers around the world develop their editing voice through Kindred Presets and Develope Academy. And here's what I believe with my whole heart: if someone trusts you to capture who they are in a specific moment in time, they should look like themselves.
 
Now, let me be clear—art is art. Your creative vision matters, and there's room for all kinds of expression in photography. But if you're looking for tools that deliver luminous, accurate skin tones—the kind where Black
 and brown skin glows instead of turning ashy or blue, where white skin looks warm and natural instead of ghostly or orange—then you're in the right place.
 
Because here's the thing: our industry has struggled with this for a long time. Kodak didn't even test their film for accurate Black skin tones until the 1970s—and only after chocolate and furniture manufacturers complained
 that their products weren't being captured correctly. It took industries speaking up about chocolate before Black people's skin was deemed worthy of accurate representation.
 
We can do better. We should do better. And honestly? We can be a facet of social change while creating beautiful, timeless work.

 That's why Kindred exists—to give you tools built on accuracy, joy, and the belief that everyone deserves to be celebrated and shown to the world correctly.
